More about Brandeis Marshall
CEO of DataedX Group, a learning and development training consultancy that help educators, scholars and practitioners humanize their data practices by recognizing and mitigating algorithmic harms, since 2018.
Before founding DataedX Group, I thought I'd be a college professor or higher education administrator for the rest of her career. The cascading multigenerational influence of algorithms shifted my focus to engage in public data education and support organizations that want to make more responsible data connections. I released Data Conscience: Algorithmic Siege on our Humanity in September 2022 to be the data guide she couldn't find. It unearths the interlocking computational and civic implications of data on digital processes, structures and institutions.
When I'm not talking about data ethics, I'm amplifying Black women in the data industry, advocating for pay transparency and equity and advising those in entrepreneurship.

Brandeis Marshall did a phenomenal job of aligning our interests and superpowers to develop the skills we need as #datascientists. #datastorytelling is my 🦸🏽♀️using data, graphs and reports to share facts and create visualization models to tell the whole story representing a #diversity of perspective.
